Fall Yoga & Meditation Day Retreat

*COVID 19 Precautions:  One of the following is required to attend:

~Proof of full vaccination, with your last shot at least two weeks prior to the retreat. 

      -OR-

~Proof of a negative PCR test within two days of the retreat.  

Join Lynne for a morning of active yoga followed by a gentle practice in the afternoon.  Our day together will also include restorative yoga, outdoor guided meditation, along with poetry and inspirational talks that will nourish and replenish your soul. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Rising Fawn Gardens, students will also have the opportunity to walk the gardens, roam the hiking trails and sit by the creek during our extended lunch break.

~Schedule:

     9:30am - Gates open

     10:00am - Active morning practice begins

     12:15pm - 2:00pm - Lunch break and time to enjoy the gardens and hiking trails or relax on the porch with a book, or chatting with a friend with a cup of tea. Whatever nourishes your soul!

     2:00 - 4:00pm - Gentle afternoon practice and outdoor guided meditation.

     5:00pm Gates close- After our afternoon session, feel free to wander the trails or gardens one last time, or enjoy relaxing on the porch before departing for home.  

~ Yoga and meditation experience is helpful, but not necessary for this retreat.  New students to yoga and or meditation are welcome.

~Please bring your lunch, water bottle and mug or thermos for hot tea.  Hot tea, water and light snacks will be provided.

~Please bring your own mat.  All other props are provided, but students can also bring their own props.  

~ Rising Fawn Gardens is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Rome, GA, 35 minutes from Chattanooga, TN, and 2 hours from Atlanta, GA.    It is located at 521 Cureton Mill Road, Rising Fawn, GA 30738.

~Windows will be open to allow fresh air throughout the yoga house.  If weather permits, one complete wall of the yoga room will be open to the outside for ample fresh air.

~ Please be prepared to present/email proof of your vaccination or negative PCR test within two days of the retreat.  

~Update:  October 14, 2021: Even though cases and hospitalizations have improved in our region, this retreat will have a limited number of registrations.  The fall 2021 retreat will be limited to 12 students to allow ample space between mats in the large practice room.  Based on emerging evidence on the Delta variant, the CDC also recommends that fully vaccinated persons wear masks in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission.In light of the CDC findings that even vaccinated individuals can contract, become ill, and spread the Delta variant, masks will be required in all indoor spaces, except for the large practice room. Masks do not have to be worn while practicing on your mat.  Mats will be spaced at least 6 feet apart. Please plan to wear a mask indoors when you are not on your mat.  Masks are optional outdoors.
